Story telling is a part of the overall Kolu activity. Selection of stories that the children can connect to make the display even more interesting for everyone. We have selected a few stories an scenes from the western culture and have displayed them in the kolu.

Harry Potter

A Scene of Hogwarts

Harry Potter is fantasy novel series written by British author J. K. Rowling. The seven novels which were later adapted to feature films chronicle the lives of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The main story revolves around Harry’s struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal.

The scene depicted in the display is from the first book “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, where Harry plays Quidditch , the wizard game. Shown in the display are the Hogwarts school , Harry’s friend Rubeus Hagrid , Whomping willow , quidditch stadium , the owlery and the dark forest.

Percy Jackson

Perseus “Percy” Jackson is a fictional title character and narrator of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. He is also one of seven main characters in the sequel series “The Heroes of Olympus”. The first two stories of the Percy Jackson & the Olympian series were made into movies.
 
The scene depicted in the display is from the first book :Percy Jackson and the The Lightning Thief where he fights a 5 headed hydra at the Nashville Parthenon.
